The Policy of Writing

The objective of this journal publication is to increase the quality of science and enhance the interest in disseminating knowledge by academicians, students, practitioners, and other interested parties. The editors are open to receiving research articles related to Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operational Management, Investment, Entrepreneurship, and Taxation.

The Professional Business Journal (PBJ) is published quarterly. Submitted articles undergo blind peer review. Articles are reviewed based on criteria such as compliance with the writing style, appropriateness of topic, relevance of research methods, significance and contribution to the relevant business fields, and recency of references. The journal uses anti-plagiarism software to ensure originality.

General Guidelines

  • Submitted articles must not have been published previously or be under consideration elsewhere.
  • Authors may write in either Bahasa Indonesia or English; articles in Bahasa Indonesia may incur translation fees.
  • Articles should be 10-20 pages long, written in one column format using Microsoft Word on A4 paper size.
  • Submission must be done through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

Writing Guidelines

An article should include: (1) Title, (2) Abstract, (3) Introduction, (4) Theoretical Framework and Hypothesis (if any), (5) Research Method, (6) Data Analysis and Discussion, (7) Conclusion, Implication, Suggestion, and Limitation, (8) References, and (9) Appendices (if any).

  1. Title: Reflect the content clearly, Times New Roman, 14-pt, bold, sentence case.
  2. Author Names and Affiliations: Full names without titles, Times New Roman, 12-pt. Corresponding author marked with asterisk (*) and email in footnote.
  3. Abstract: Include objectives, methods, results, implications; 150-250 words, Times New Roman, 12-pt, italic, justified, first hanging 1 cm. Written in both English and Indonesian.
  4. Keywords: 2-5 keywords, Times New Roman, 12-pt, italic.
  5. Introduction: Background, literature review, research gap, study novelty; 1 page, Times New Roman, 12pt, regular.
  6. Theoretical Framework and Hypothesis: Primary sources preferred; Times New Roman, 12pt, regular.
  7. Research Method: Procedures, sampling, data collection, analysis methods; concise, Times New Roman, 12pt, regular.
  8. Data Analysis and Discussion: Present and interpret results logically, Times New Roman, 12pt, regular.
  9. Conclusion, Implication, Suggestion, Limitation: Summarize research essence and author reflections; paragraphs, Times New Roman, 12pt, regular.
  10. Tables: Numbered, sources below, titles above; Times New Roman, 11pt.
  11. Figures: Numbered, sources below, titles above; Times New Roman, 11pt.
  12. Mathematical Equations: Clear, editable format, numbered right side; Times New Roman, 11pt.
  13. References: Use APA style, primary sources within last 5 years, no theses/blogs; managed with reference tools; Times New Roman, 12pt.
  14. Appendices: Include instruments, supporting data, pictures, etc.
