The aims of this research are; 1) Describe the effectiveness of intensive guidance in improving teacher performance in learning. 2) Describe the increase in teacher performance in learning through intensive guidance for teachers at SDN Gadu 02. This research is school action research. The research was carried out in 2 cycles. The data collection method in this research is observation and a teacher ability assessment rubric. The research results show that; 1) Intensive coaching is effective for improving teacher performance in learning. There has been an increase in effectiveness in the mentoring process. There was an increase from 1 less effective teacher, 5 effective teachers and 2 very effective teachers in cycle 1 and increased to 5 effective teachers in guidance and 3
very effective teachers. In cycle 2, teacher guidance was generally carried out effectively. 2) Teacher performance in learning at SDN Gadu 02 has increased both in terms of planning and implementation. The teacher's score achievement increased from the average score which also automatically increased, namely 60.75 to 73.25 in cycle 2. This research was successful because intensive guidance was able to improve teacher performance in learning.
