Abstract
The use of this learning media is motivated by the lack of effective use of online learning media and the widespread use of gadgets among children for purposes outside of learning. The use of Google Classroom media is carried out in learning the theme of events in material life, the effect
of heat on changes in temperature and shape of objects. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR). The result of this study is that the effectiveness of the media shows high criteria with an increase in the percentage of effectiveness from 71.4% in learning 1 to 85.7% in
learning 2. Student activity in online learning has increased from before using media. Prior to the use of active media students were only 8 students or 42.1%. After learning 1 active students reached 15 students or 78.9% and increased in learning 2 as many as 17 students or 89.5%
with high activeness criteria. Student learning outcomes have increased from before the use of learning media. Before using the media, only 6 students achieved completeness or 31.6%. After learning 1 student who experienced completeness 14 students or 73.7%. At the end of the study
2 students who completed reached 17 students or 89.5%. The conclusion of Classroom Action Research (CAR) is that the use of Google Classroom media can display effective learning, increase student activity and learning outcomes.
