ANALYSIS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF PENCAK SILAT ACHIEVEMENT DEVELOPMENT FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

This research aims to analyze the implementation of achievement development in the pencak silat sport, especially when applied to elementary school children. Progress that occurs in every sport in the world must be balanced by the application of science so that it can produce optimal results. The research method used is a qualitative description method. Data collection techniques through interviews and document analysis in order to describe a research object in the form of actual and accountable facts. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that the government has not paid attention to developing the potential of children starting from elementary school age. The lack of championships, limited classes being competed in and the high cost of open championships in pencak silat sports for elementary school age children can be a conclusion that the implementation of achievement development has not been carried out optimally.
