The Relationship Between Organizational Experience and Critical Thinking in Nursing Students of Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang

Abstract

Organizational experience can help to improve critical thinking skills, especially in self-realization and practicing knowledge gained through lecture activities. With a lot of organizational experience, you will be accustomed to having a critical thinking pattern by solving a problem within the organization. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between organizational experience and critical thinking in nursing students. This study is a type of cross-sectional research. Simple random sampling technique with 126 respondents. Data collection with organizational experience and critical thinking questionnaires that have previously been tested for validity and reliability. The data obtained were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test. The research that has been carried out shows the results of organizational experience in the high category, namely 103 (81.7%) respondents. Critical thinking of students with the most respondents in the high category, namely respondents with a percentage (67.5%). The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value: 0.000 (<0.05) which means that there is a relationship between organizational experience and critical thinking of students. There is a significant relationship between organizational experience and critical thinking with a p value of 0.000 and a fairly close relationship (0.360).
